The review

This monitor's argument is field of view. Moving from 16:9 to 21:9 changes how simulators, racing, strategy and open worlds feel far more than the inch difference suggests, because the image reaches your peripheral vision instead of ending at a bezel.

The VA panel delivers 3000:1 contrast, three times that of a typical IPS. In night scenes or films the difference is obvious: shadows have depth. The 1000R curve is pronounced and makes sense on a panel this wide, because it keeps the edges at a similar distance to the centre.

In exchange you accept what VA charges: in fast motion it smears a little more than IPS, especially between dark tones. At 165 Hz it has plenty in hand for most things, but it is not the monitor a competitive shooter player would choose. For work, on the other hand, it comfortably replaces two screens.
