The review

The WOLED Tandem panel with MLA+ is LG's answer to OLED's main weakness, brightness. It stacks two emitting layers and adds microlenses to direct more light forward, letting it sustain levels a conventional OLED cannot reach without resorting to momentary peaks.

The 480 Hz dual mode is the most extreme specification available on a consumer monitor. In practice very few games and very few machines generate 480 fps, so it is a feature for specific esports rather than general use. What matters is that you pay nothing for it: the 4K 240 Hz mode remains first rate.
